about

At its heart, the blues is about love, loss and sharing the joys and pain.

Brotherhood of the Blues grew out of songs that tell these age-old stories – about leaving and being left (Love has Left this Town), about losing people from your life (Uncle Blues) and the highs and lows of love (Gone).

Luke Murray (lead vocals), Zac Paden (vocals), John Cieslak (drums and vocals) and Harley Bodenham (guitar) are the Brotherhood of the Blues. John says ‘we were born in different ways’, and this rich diversity brings a new fresh energy to the blues.

These talented musicians say that the blues is a way into your emotions, and a way to bring happiness to people and get them involved in the music.

Vocalist Zac says ‘I think … if a young woman or a young man can understand blues music, it sort of gives them that understanding of 'oh, this is how I’m feeling'.

Not content to sit still, this is also a band with big plans. Lead singer Luke says ‘We are Blues singers. We’re going to show the people what we can do.’
